      Paid Leave for COVID Vaccine Immune Response

      If needed, the college is offering paid leave for up to 2 paid days off, to support employees whose immune response?interfere with their ability to engage in their normal work duties.

      Care@Work Benefit

      Effective February 16, 2021, we are launching the Care@Work benefit to support your efforts to find caregiver services during the pandemic.

      Identity Theft Protection

      Coverage for identity theft protection through the?Allstate Identity Protection Pro Plus plan is available to all Smith College?employees. Employees can opt in or out of this voluntary plan at any time during the year.

      Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave Law

      An email notification went out to employees and students via Workday the morning of Friday, September 27, 2019, in regard to the new Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave law effective January 1, 2021. A copy of the message is provided here for your reference.

      The towns surrounding the Smith College campus provide access to a number of daycare centers and nursery schools for pre-school children. Since child care needs vary greatly depending on the ages of children and your specific circumstances, you need to research these opportunities fully. Obviously, the information presented for individual providers is subject to change.

      Many in the Smith community will need to provide care at some point for an aging parent, in-law, partner or loved one. The following resources will help provide some useful eldercare information and services. This is not a comprehensive guide but more of a general starting point to introduce you to the range and diversity of what is available.
