Smith Study Abroad
Because global perspectives are a vital element of a liberal arts education, Smith encourages students from all academic disciplines, including the sciences and engineering, to engage with the world beyond Smith. Close to half of Smith's students spend time abroad before they graduate.
Drawing the Landscape: Interterm in Russia
With gratitude to artist Catherine Lomoe-Thompson ’21, these drawings are from her memories of her Interterm in St. Petersburg trip: "Russia’s beauty was just begging to be memorialized on the page, and I think I enjoyed drawing it just as much as I enjoyed visiting it."
Students may apply for study at 12 colleges in the Northeast, including Amherst, Bowdoin, Dartmouth, Trinity, Vassar and Wesleyan.
Global Impressions Journal
Read about student and alumnae encounters, experiences and epiphanies abroad and at home.
Women & Social Change
The Smith Project on Women and Social Change is a faculty research group that addresses women's education issues around the world.
